Fill your freezer with our own grass-fed Wagyu / Angus cross, direct from paddock to freezer. Your choice, whole, half or quarter: (Our butcher advises whole or half, as the cut is easier). Each beast will be 18 months to 2 years and approximately 220 - 280 Kg hot dressed weight. Exact weight and therefore exact price will be unknown until delivered to the butcher.
As a basic guide, we have listed what you receive, but other cuts are possible, just ask.
Payment for the meat will be made to Localicious, cut up fee to be made to the butcher.
Price is an amazing $8.00 per kg delivered to and from Biggenden which includes transport and abattoir fees, plus you pay Buck's Butcher Shop, $2.00 per Kg cut up fee, or you can organise your own butcher only if whole or halves are ordered.
If delivered to Biggenden on a Monday and back to Buck on the Friday, depending on his workload, your meat and bones will be ready by the end of the following week. For quarter sides the proportions are divided as equally as possible, therefore half or whole beast is recommended.
It is impossible for us to 100% guarantee the tenderness of the meat, but through selective breeding we have slowly improved the product over the last thirty years. All our cattle are 100% grass-fed and fattened dependant on the season. We use low stress cattle cattle handling techniques and still muster on horses. The cattle are mustered as late as possible to the requirement so that they are off feed and water for the shortest possible time.
